I got the scope for around $300, if you're interested check Amazon as I don't know how much the price has changed. Glass quality is an 8/10, it's clear where you need it to be but under certain lighting it refracts (really rare and I've only seen it holding it up to my ceiling fan, not on the range) and the edges get a bit distorted at max magnification. I'm looking forward, and feel confident with, using this for my first deer hunts. I found the action to be quite usable and the trigger quite sufficient. I am happy with my purchase and have been successful with my my first attempts beyond 100 yards. It's 36 MOA from center to edge so 72MOA from top to bottom and side to side. The 783 30-06 is my first center fire bolt rifle after several. The reticle is pretty good as well, it's first focal plane, not too crowded but still has enough info to get those long shots without adjusting the scope every time. They offer different magnification ranges of course, it holds zero very well even on my uncle's 7mm rem mag, and it has tactical style turrets (you can turn with hand, don't need tools). The one I'm using now is the vortex tactical ii. I'm not going to tell you it needs to be $2k, there's great scopes out there sub $500. But I will say hold off on any stocks or triggers until you can get yourself a better scope.
